About the Role
Bracknell Forest Council is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Family Safeguarding Team. This is a key frontline role where you’ll lead on complex safeguarding work, provide professional oversight to social workers, and contribute to strong, consistent, child-centred practice across the service.
You’ll manage complex assessments, support multi-agency plans, and ensure families receive timely, strengths-based intervention that promotes safety, stability, and long-term resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on complex Child in Need, Child Protection, and PLO cases.
- Complete high-quality assessments and safety plans.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and professional support to social workers.
- Chair or contribute to multi-agency meetings and reflective discussions.
- Prepare robust, analytical reports for panels and courts where required.
- Work collaboratively with specialist adult workers within the Family Safeguarding model.
- Promote a culture of learning, reflection, and best practice within the team.
