Ealing Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Children in Need / Child Protection team. Key Responsibilities

  • Hold and manage a caseload of Children in Need and Child Protection cases

  • Undertake assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions

  • Lead on safeguarding investigations and statutory visits

  • Chair core group and CIN meetings, ensuring timely and effective reviews

  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to promote positive change

  • Provide mentoring and guidance to less experienced colleagues

Candidate Requirements

  • Social Work England registration

  • Significant post-qualified experience in CIN/CP work

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989

  • Proven ability to manage risk and work in complex family situations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
