Are you passionate about supporting Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC)? Birmingham Children's Trust is looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join their UASC team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference while working in a supportive and welcoming environment under an incredibly kind and experienced manager.
About the Role:
- Managing a caseload of Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children.
- Conducting age assessments and working closely with legal representatives.
- Supporting young people in care and transition to independence.
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals, including immigration services and education providers.
- Ensuring children’s voices are heard and advocating for their best interests.
About You:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Experience working with UASC or Looked After Children.
- Strong knowledge of immigration policies, asylum procedures, and age assessments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multi-agency setting.
- Passionate about making a positive impact on vulnerable children’s lives.
