Sheldon Phillips is currently recruiting for a Court Senior Social Worker to join the Children & Families Service in Wakefield. This role is ideal for an experienced social worker who is confident in court proceedings and care planning for children, offering the opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes for children and families.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake complex court-related social work, including completing high-quality assessments, statements, and care plans.
  • Provide expert court evidence and ensure cases progress effectively through the legal system.
  • Work closely with legal teams, guardians, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Support children and families through the care proceedings process, offering guidance and intervention where necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure all work is carried out in line with statutory regulations and best practice.
     

Requirements:

  • Social Work England (SWE) registration.
  • Extensive experience in court work and children's services.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection, care proceedings, and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, analytical, and evidence-based reports.
