Senior Social Worker – Non-Case Holding Children in Care | Bradford Children’s Trust | £35 per hour
Sheldon Phillips are currently working with Bradford Children and Families Trust to recruit a Senior Social Worker into a unique non-case holding Children in Care position focused on progressing permanency planning for children and young people. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who enjoys care planning, achieving permanence, and improving outcomes for children in long-term care.
Role Overview
This role will focus specifically on progressing permanency plans for children in care, reducing delay, and ensuring children achieve stable long-term outcomes. You will work closely with operational teams, legal services, fostering, adoption and external agencies to progress care planning without holding a traditional caseload.

Supporting care planning and permanence tracking across the service

Working alongside operational teams to reduce drift and delay

Liaising with fostering, adoption and legal teams

Supporting long-term matching and permanence planning

Contributing towards care planning meetings and reviews

Assisting with court progression and permanence-related planning

Ensuring children’s plans remain outcome-focused and child-centred

Requirements

SWE Registration

Social Work qualification
