Achieving for Children is looking to recruit experienced and passionate Social Workers to join their Assessment Service, based across their Richmond & Kingston or Windsor & Maidenhead office locations. You will play a key role in undertaking high-quality assessments, managing cases through the front door, and delivering timely, child-focused interventions that create lasting change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake timely, high-quality statutory assessments
  • Complete Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries in line with statutory guidance
  • Produce robust assessments, safety plans, and intervention strategies
  • Work directly with children and families to effect positive change
  • Liaise effectively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality case records and reports
  • Participate in supervision, training, and continuous professional development

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Experience within Children’s Front Door, Assessment, or Safeguarding Teams
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, statutory guidance, and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
