Contract: Locum – 3 Months +
Hours: 36.66 hours per week
Pay Rate: £40 per hour + mileage
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2/3 days in the office

Introduction

Sheldon Phillips are working with Oldham Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker for their Assessment Team. This is a fast-paced service where you will be undertaking child and family assessments, working closely with multi-agency partners to ensure positive outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake initial and core assessments for children and families

  • Develop and implement care plans in line with statutory requirements

  • Work in partnership with multi-agency teams to safeguard children

  • Attend court as required and prepare high-quality reports

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records

Requirements:

  • SWE Registration

  • Recognised Social Work qualification

  • Post-qualified experience in children’s services

  • Strong safeguarding and assessment skills

  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexible and proactive approach
