Team: Duty and Assessment
Contract: Locum, 3 Months +
Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £37.50 per hour
Location: Loxley House, Nottingham City Council

Working Pattern: Hybrid working – Office-based during duty week (1 in 4), remote on non-duty weeks

About the Role
Sheldon Phillips are partnering with Nottingham City Council to recruit a dedicated Social Worker for their Assessment Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive service where you’ll be working with families at the point of referral, undertaking high-quality assessments and ensuring timely interventions.

Duties and Responsibilities
	- 
	
Carry out initial and core assessments to identify the needs of children and families
	 
	- 
	
Undertake Section 47 enquiries and contribute to Child Protection processes
	 
	- 
	
Prepare high-quality reports for case conferences and court proceedings
	 
	- 
	
Liaise effectively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for children
	 
	- 
	
Maintain accurate case notes in line with statutory requirements and local procedures
	 
Requirements
	- 
	
SWE Registration
	 
	- 
	
Recognised Social Work qualification
	 
	- 
	
Post-qualified experience within Assessment or Frontline Teams
	 
	- 
	
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment
	 
	- 
	
Ability to work autonomously and manage a complex caseload
