Role: Social Worker / Senior Social Worker – Children in Need

Pay: £38.50 per hour
Contract: 3-month ongoing | Locum
The London Borough of Harrow is looking for an experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker to join their Children in Need team on a 3-month ongoing locum basis. This is a frontline role focused on delivering high-quality, child-centred interventions to support families and safeguard children at risk.

Opportunity for both Social Workers and Senior Social Workers depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out Child in Need assessments and plans
-
Lead and manage safeguarding interventions where appropriate

Work with children and families to promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes

Maintain accurate records, contribute to care planning, and attend multi-agency meetings

Where applicable, support less experienced colleagues and contribute to service development
Requirements:
-
Registration with Social Work England
-
Significant post-qualified experience in frontline children’s services
-
Experience in Child in Need, Child Protection, and/or safeguarding work
-
Strong assessment, risk analysis, and care planning skills
