Full Time | Hybrid Working | Localities Team

Devon County Council is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Localities Team on a locum basis. This is a great opportunity to work in a beautiful part of the country while contributing to meaningful change for children and families.

Your role:

  • Manage a caseload covering Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children cases

  • Carry out assessments, develop care plans, and attend multi-agency meetings

  • Work closely with families, carers, and partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes

  • Engage in court work where necessary and ensure all statutory requirements are met

  • Mentor and support less experienced members of the team

What you need:

  • Social Work England registration

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualified experience in frontline children’s services

  • Confident working across CIN, CP, and LAC

  • Access to your own vehicle and a valid UK driving license
