Ealing Council is seeking an experienced social worker to join their intervention (safeguarding) team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and families within the safeguarding service
- Undertake assessments, child protection enquiries, and direct work with families
- Develop and implement robust intervention and care plans
- Prepare high-quality reports for case conferences, court, and statutory reviews
- Work collaboratively with schools, health, police, and partner agencies
- Ensure children are safeguarded and their welfare promoted at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Strong post-qualified experience in children’s safeguarding or intervention work
- In-depth knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and related safeguarding legislation
- Ability to work effectively with families in crisis and manage complex cases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
