Senior Social Worker – Family Safeguarding
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP)
Up to £48 per hour + Travel Allowance
Full Time | Hybrid Working | Family Safeguarding Team

We’re working with Bournemouth Council (BCP) to recruit an experienced Senior Social Worker for their Family Safeguarding Team. If you’ve got solid experience working across Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children cases, this could be a brilliant opportunity to take the next step in your locum career.

Your role:

  • Hold a complex caseload across CIN, CP, and LAC pathways

  • Work within the Family Safeguarding model, promoting strength-based practice and multi-agency collaboration

  • Chair core groups, strategy discussions and contribute to court work where required

  • Champion the voice of the child in all aspects of assessment and planning

  • Support and mentor less experienced staff where needed

What you need:

  • Social Work England registration

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualified experience in children’s services

  • Proven work across CIN, CP and/or LAC

  • Access to your own vehicle and a valid UK driving license
