Senior Social Worker - All Ages Disability Team

Location: West Midlands

Rate: £40.35 per hour (Umbrella Rate)

Are you an experienced and qualified social worker looking for a challenging and rewarding role? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our All Ages Disability Team within a West Midlands Local Authority. This locum position offers a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of service users.
 

YOU MUST BE SOCIAL WORK ENGLAND REGISTERED AND A QUALIFIED SOCIAL WORKER TO APPLY FOR THIS POST.
 

About the Role:

As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for coordinating the assessment of needs for designated service users. Working closely with service users and their carers, you will engage in multi-agency assessment processes, planning collaboratively and creatively to arrange or commission the provision of services that meet assessed needs while ensuring value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the assessment of needs for designated service users.
  • Work collaboratively with service users and their carers in line with multi-agency assessment processes.
  • Plan and arrange or commission appropriate services to meet assessed needs.
  • Make enquiries regarding abuse and neglect, promoting positive risk-taking.
  • Stay informed about a wide range of services and resources, including statutory, voluntary, and private provisions.
  • Be flexible, adaptable, and open to embracing change.

About You:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-agency assessment processes and a wide range of services and resources.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and creatively with service users and their carers.
  • Commitment to promoting positive risk-taking and safeguarding.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and ready to embrace change.
