At Sheldon-Phillips we are currently recruiting for a Senior Social Worker to join a locality service in an East Midlands local authority. If you’re looking for a role with the potential to make a real difference to people’s lives, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This role will be of particular interest to experienced and driven practitioners with an exceptional level of knowledge and expertise in child protection, CIN and court work. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on safeguarding investigations in the most complex cases where there are multiple incidents and will hold a full caseload particularly those where abuse or neglect is suspected.

As a Senior Social Worker you will be expected to demonstrate excellent practice, work independently and provide leadership to the team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in child protection as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

We are looking for someone with:

• Social Work England Registration
• A genuine passion for improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to the highest standards of professional practice
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• The ability to lead on difficult cases
• A flexible approach and the ability to work with a range of different stakeholders

In return, you will receive an excellent rate of pay of £40 per hour, with hybrid and flexible working available with a city based office.
