MASH Social Worker – Merton

Pay: £38.50 per hour

Working Arrangement: 3 days a week in the office

Are you an experienced MASH Social Worker looking for your next locum role? Merton is seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join their MASH team, ensuring the safety and well-being of children at the front door of social care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertaking timely and thorough risk assessments based on referrals to the MASH team

• Collaborating with partner agencies to gather and analyse information effectively

• Making informed decisions to ensure children receive the right level of intervention

• Working within statutory guidelines and local policies to safeguard children

• Attending strategy meetings and contributing to multi-agency discussions

• Providing written reports and recommendations to ensure timely responses to child protection concerns

Requirements:

• Social Work England registration

• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualifying experience in a MASH or frontline child protection role

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure

• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance

• Experience in working within multi-agency frameworks and making threshold decisions

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively
