Key Responsibilities
- Lead on complex safeguarding and child protection cases, providing guidance to colleagues
- Undertake detailed assessments and develop robust safety and care plans
- Chair core group meetings and multi-agency discussions
- Offer mentoring and support to less experienced social workers
- Prepare and present detailed reports for court proceedings and panels
Candidate Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Significant post-qualified experience in Safeguarding, Child Protection, or Children in Need
- Strong leadership, assessment, and communication skills
- Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues is desirable
- Commitment to high-quality, child-centred social work practice
