Senior Social Worker – Adults Front Door Team

£36.00 per hour

Richmond and Wandsworth Adult Social Services are seeking experienced Senior Social Workers to join our Front Door Adult Social Care Team. This role offers the opportunity to provide leadership and make a real difference to the lives of residents aged 18+.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote service user choice and empowerment, supporting independence and community connections.
• Manage budgets, authorise assessments, reassessments, and arrange necessary funding.
• Undertake statutory intervention in safeguarding cases and chair Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to team members.
• Oversee the duty team and manage incoming referrals and safeguarding concerns.

• A proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
• Strong leadership and experience in safeguarding and legislation.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and time management skills.
