Bromley | Locum | £39.04 per hour
Bromley Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Assessment service, working with children and families at the front door of children’s services. This is a key role focused on completing high-quality assessments and ensuring timely, effective interventions that safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
In this role, you will manage a varied caseload, undertaking Child and Family Assessments, working with Child in Need and Child Protection cases, and contributing to robust decision-making alongside partner agencies. You will be confident managing risk, meeting statutory timescales, and supporting less experienced colleagues where required.
What You’ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- At least 3 years’ post-qualifying experience in frontline children’s social work
- Strong experience within Assessment services
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding, CIN and CP frameworks
- Excellent assessment, analysis, and report-writing skills
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, statutory environment
