Kensington and Chelsea | Locum | £39.04 per hour | Hybrid Working
Kensington and Chelsea Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Localities Team. This is a frontline safeguarding role managing complex Child in Need and Child Protection cases within a locality-based model, ensuring children and families receive responsive and relationship-focused support.
You will work within a defined geographical area, building strong partnerships with families and multi-agency professionals to deliver high-quality statutory interventions and achieve positive outcomes for children.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a complex caseload across CIN and CP
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and risk analysis
- Lead multi-agency meetings and strategy discussions
- Develop and review outcome-focused care plans
- Provide mentoring and support to less experienced social workers
- Ensure high-quality recording and statutory compliance
- Contribute to service improvement and strong team performance
What You’ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- At least 3 years’ post-qualified experience in children’s social care
- Strong experience within safeguarding and locality-based teams
- Confidence managing complex and high-risk cases
- Excellent analytical, assessment, and decision-making skills
