Senior Social Worker – MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub)

Location: London Borough of Croydon
Rate: Up to £38.50 per hour

We have an exciting locum opportunity for a MASH Social Worker in the London Borough of Croydon. If you are passionate about safeguarding and protecting vulnerable children, this role could be perfect for you. Croydon’s MASH team is well-regarded for its collaborative, multi-agency approach to supporting children and families in need.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Work within the MASH team to assess referrals related to safeguarding concerns and child protection issues.
• Triage and analyze risk factors to determine the appropriate level of intervention required.
• Collaborate closely with other professionals, including the police, health services, education, and housing, to gather information and make informed decisions.
• Manage high volumes of incoming referrals, ensuring timely and effective responses to safeguard children.
• Prepare reports, risk assessments, and maintain accurate records in line with statutory guidelines.
• Ensure that children's welfare remains the focus of all decisions, working to prevent harm or neglect.
• Participate in strategy meetings and contribute to the decision-making process to ensure children’s safety.

Requirements:

• Social Work England registration
• 2+ years post-qualified experience, ideally in a MASH or safeguarding role
