Our client, a leading Local Authority in Kent, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Qualified Social Work Service Manager to oversee their Referral and Assessment Service within children's services. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Lead and manage the Referral and Assessment Service, ensuring high standards of practice and performance. Provide strategic direction and operational oversight.
- Team Development: Mentor, support, and develop a team of social workers and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Service Delivery: Oversee the assessment and referral processes, ensuring timely and effective responses to children's needs. Implement best practices and innovative approaches to service delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with families, communities, and partner agencies to build strong relationships and ensure comprehensive support for children and young people.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate service performance, implementing improvements and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker: Degree in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience: Proven track record in a management role within children's services, specifically in referral and assessment.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in children's social care.
