Job Overview:

Are you an experienced Service Manager with a background in Children's Safeguarding? We are seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to join our Children's Safeguarding service in Manchester. This locum role offers a competitive daily rate of £400.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of 6 safeguarding teams, ensuring high standards of practice and service delivery.
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Support the service through a change of the safeguarding model by implementing the Hertfordshire Family Safeguarding Model.
  • Develop and implement service plans, policies, and procedures in line with statutory requirements and best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services, driving continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and record-keeping.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager in Children's Safeguarding is essential.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding children processes and statutory requirements.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective service plans and policies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure.
