Role - Independent Reviewing Officer

Pay - Up to £43 Per Hour

Location - East London

Are you a Social Work England qualified Independent Reviewing Officer looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a passionate, experienced IRO to join a fantastic London Borough in the East of London.

As an IRO, you will have an opportunity to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of complex safeguarding processes. You will have the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in the borough by ensuring that effective reviews are taking place and that the outcomes and recommendations are being implemented.

We are looking for a motivated IRO who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of child protection and safeguarding processes, and will be an excellent communicator.

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Lead, manage and monitor the performance of the review process, ensuring that reviews are undertaken in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all relevant internal and external partners, including children and young people, social workers, health professionals, parents/carers, and other professionals.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the review process, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Provide support and guidance to social workers and other professionals involved in the review process.
