Are you an experienced Social Work Team Manager looking for a new challenge? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate individual to join a Local Authority in South London as a Social Work Team Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of social workers in the Assessment Service within Children's Services.

As a Social Work Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting a team of social workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children and families. You will be responsible for overseeing the assessment and planning of support for children in need, child protection, and care proceedings. Additionally, you will be required to provide supervision and support to social workers, as well as managing performance and caseloads.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have substantial experience in a similar managerial position within Children's Services. You must also hold a relevant social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Strong leadership and management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
