About the Role:
As the Team Manager of the Child Protection Team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding children and young people. You will lead a dedicated team of social workers, ensuring that all child protection cases are managed with the utmost care, professionalism, and urgency. Your leadership will be key in maintaining high standards of practice and ensuring the best outcomes for the children and families we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Child Protection Team, providing direction, support, and supervision to social workers.
- Ensure that all child protection cases are handled efficiently and effectively, with a focus on the safety and well-being of the children.
- Oversee the assessment and planning processes, ensuring that interventions are appropriate and timely.
- Maintain compliance with statutory requirements and local policies.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages professional development and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Qualified social worker with extensive experience in children's services, particularly in child protection.
- Social Work England registered.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong understanding of child protection legislation and best practices.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle complex cases effectively.
