Achieving for Children, covering the Richmond and Kingston area, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Work Team Manager to lead their Disabled Children's Team in children's services. This role offers a competitive salary range of £53,136 to £56,172 per annum, plus an additional £3,000 annual market supplement.

About the Role:

As the Team Manager of the Disabled Children's Team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with disabilities and their families. You will lead a team of passionate social workers, ensuring that high-quality services are delivered to meet the unique needs of these children. Your expertise and leadership will be key in promoting positive outcomes and enhancing the lives of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Disabled Children's Team, providing supervision, guidance, and support to social workers.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, and delivery of services to children with disabilities and their families.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safeguarding policies, and best practice standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with other agencies and service providers.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified social worker with extensive experience in children's services, particularly in working with disabled children.
  • Social Work England registered.
  • Proven track record of team management and leadership.
  • In-depth understanding of legislation, policies, and best practices related to children's services and disability.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children and their families.
