Are you a Social Work Team Manager looking for a new challenge in Children's Services? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Looked After Children Team in Kingston and Richmond Council.
We are seeking a dynamic individual with excellent leadership and management skills, an in-depth knowledge of social work processes and procedures, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services to children and young people. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of managing a team of Social Workers in Children's Services, and will be comfortable dealing with complex cases and making difficult decisions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Looked After Children Team, managing caseloads, supervising and supporting Social Workers and other staff, and ensuring that all services are provided in line with legal standards and best practice. They will also be required to drive forward improvements, and develop and implement strategies to ensure the needs of vulnerable children are met.
To be considered for this role, you must have a relevant Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. You should also have a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, preferably in a management role, and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
