The London Borough of Sutton is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Work Team Manager to lead their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in children's services. This role offers a competitive rate of up to £44.50 per hour and requires a commitment to being in the office 4 days a week.

About the Role:

As the Team Manager of the MASH Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people. You will oversee a team of skilled professionals who work collaboratively to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns swiftly and effectively. Your leadership will be essential in coordinating multi-agency responses and ensuring that children receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the MASH Team, providing supervision, guidance, and support to social workers and other professionals.
  • Oversee the assessment, screening, and triage of referrals to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safeguarding policies, and best practice standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies, including health, education, and police.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified social worker with extensive experience in children's services, particularly in safeguarding and multi-agency work.
  • Social Work England registered.
  • Proven track record of team management and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of legislation, policies, and best practices related to safeguarding children.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment and manage complex cases.
