Team: Children’s Localities Team
Location: Sutton, South London (Hybrid Working)
Hourly Rat: £37.00 per hour
Sutton Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Locum Social Worker to join our Children’s Localities Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to work in a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and families, providing assessment, support, and interventions tailored to their needs.
- Conduct risk assessments and create effective care plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Liaise with partner agencies, including health, education, and community services, to coordinate support for children and families.
- Attend and contribute to child protection meetings and multi-agency reviews.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with relevant legislation and local procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration.
- Experience working in Children’s Services, preferably in a locality team or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding legislation (e.g., Children Act 1989/2004).
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively while working under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player.
