Social Worker – Children in Care

Buckinghamshire | Locum | £38+ per hour | Hybrid Working

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children in Care service. This is a frontline role supporting children and young people who are looked after, ensuring they receive consistent, high-quality care planning and support to achieve positive and stable outcomes.

In this role, you will manage a Children in Care caseload, completing statutory visits, care planning, reviews, and permanency planning. You’ll work closely with children, carers, families, and partner agencies, undertaking direct work and contributing to court and care planning processes where required.

What You’ll Need:

  • Social Work England Registration
  • Social Work Qualification
  • Experience working with Children in Care within a statutory setting
  • Strong care planning, assessment, and report-writing skills
  • Experience of permanency planning and multi-agency working
  • Ability to build effective relationships with children, carers, and professionals
  • Flexibility to attend the office as required by the service
