Woking (Surrey) | Locum | £42 per hour | Hybrid Working
Surrey County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) based in Woking. This is a fast-paced front door role focused on screening referrals, assessing risk, and ensuring children and families receive the right support at the earliest opportunity.
You will work within a co-located multi-agency environment, collaborating with partners including police, health, and education to make timely and informed safeguarding decisions.
In this role, you will:
- Screen and triage incoming referrals into the MASH service
- Gather and analyse information from multi-agency partners
- Assess risk and make timely safeguarding decisions
- Provide advice, guidance, and signposting where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with police, health, and education professionals
- Maintain accurate and high-quality case recordings
- Ensure decisions are made in line with statutory guidance and thresholds
What You’ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- At least 3 years’ post-qualified experience in children’s social care
- Strong experience within MASH or Front Door services
- Confidence in decision-making and risk assessment
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
