Job Opportunity: Social Worker – MASH Team
Location: Exeter, Devon
Contract Type: Full-Time (with hybrid working)
Working Pattern: 2 days per week in-office, 3 days remote
Weekly Accommodation Allowance: £150
Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker ready to make a real difference in children's lives? Devon Children’s Services is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our dynamic Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team.
About the Role:
As a Social Worker within our MASH team, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding children across Devon. You’ll work closely with partner agencies to assess risk, make informed decisions, and initiate the most appropriate level of intervention. Your work will help ensure timely and effective responses to safeguarding concerns.
Key Responsibilities:

Triage and assess safeguarding referrals from multiple agencies

Apply professional judgement to identify levels of risk and determine next steps

Liaise with partner agencies including police, education, and health services

Record information clearly and accurately on the system within statutory timescales

Participate in regular team discussions and decision-making forums
What We’re Looking For:
-
Qualified Social Worker (SWE registered)
-
3 years post qualified experience - including ASYE
-
Proven experience in children’s MASH/Single Point of Access teams

Strong analytical and risk assessment skills

Excellent communication and partnership-working abilities
-
Resilience and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Arrangements:

Hybrid model: 2 days a week in our Devon office, 3 days working remotely

Accommodation allowance of £150 per week for those staying locally during office days
