We are searching for a safeguarding social worker to join a team in Hampshire. This is a full-time role and the successful applicant will play a crucial part in delivering excellent services to protect vulnerable children in the area.
The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures. They will need to have significant experience working with children and families, including planning and risk assessments, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Rate: £38/hr
The key responsibilities of this role include:
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with children, their families and other professionals;
• Working closely with health and education professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the child;
• Making recommendations about the care and support needed for the child;
• Monitoring and reviewing cases;
• Undertaking assessments and reviews;
• Working within a multi-disciplinary team;
• Contributing to relevant service initiatives or projects;
• Preparing reports and attending court as required.
We are looking for a candidate with at least two years of experience working as a social worker. This includes a thorough understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will also have experience working with children and families, including planning and risk assessments, and a commitment to delivering the best outcomes for those in their care.
