Social Worker – Children in Need Team
Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour
Hours: 37 per week

About the Role
Derbyshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Children in Need Team.
You will work with children and families requiring support and intervention to improve outcomes and reduce risk, ensuring children remain safe and supported within their family networks wherever possible.
This role involves managing a varied caseload and working closely with multi-agency partners to deliver effective plans and interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Child and Family Assessments under the Children Act.
- Manage a caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
- Develop and implement effective child-centred support plans.
- Work collaboratively with schools, health services, and partner agencies.
- Undertake direct work with children and families.
- Prepare high-quality reports for conferences and reviews.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings.
