Social Worker – Child Protection Team
Pay Rate: Up to £42 per hour
Hours: 37 per week

About the Role
Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Child Protection Team.
You will work with children and families where safeguarding concerns have been identified, ensuring timely and effective interventions to protect children and improve outcomes.
This is a supportive and well-managed service with a strong focus on relationship-based practice and multi-agency collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Section 47 enquiries and Child and Family Assessments.
- Manage a caseload of CIN and CP cases, including court work where required.
- Develop and implement robust safety and care plans.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies including health, education, and police.
- Undertake direct work with children and families.
- Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings.
