Senior Practitioner – Kinship and Fostering Assessment Team
Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour
Hours: 37 per week

About the Role
Staffordshire County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join its Kinship and Fostering Assessment Team.
You will play a key role in assessing and supporting kinship carers and foster carers, ensuring children are placed in safe, stable, and nurturing environments.
This position combines complex assessment work with mentoring and supporting colleagues to maintain high standards of practice across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive kinship and fostering assessments.
- Complete viability assessments and connected persons assessments.
- Support the recruitment and assessment of foster carers.
- Provide guidance and support to Social Workers within the team.
- Work closely with children, families, carers, and multi-agency professionals.
- Prepare high-quality reports for fostering panels and court proceedings.
- Promote permanence and positive outcomes for children in care.
