Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and families within Child in Need and Child Protection frameworks.
- Undertake safeguarding assessments and risk management interventions.
- Complete Section 47 investigations and contribute to effective safety planning.
- Develop and implement outcome-focused care and support plans.
- Carry out direct work with children, young people, and families.
- Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, and court documentation where required.
- Participate in Child Protection Conferences, Core Groups, Strategy Meetings, and Legal Planning Meetings.
- Work collaboratively with education, health, police, and other partner agencies.
- Promote permanence, stability, and positive outcomes for children.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording in accordance with statutory guidance and local procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registered with the Social Work England.
- Experience working within Safeguarding, Child Protection, CIN, or Locality Services.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory responsibilities.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
- Commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for children and families.
