Social Worker – Early Help Team

Pay Rate: £35 per hour
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Locum


About the Role

City of Doncaster Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Early Help Team.
You will work with children, young people, and families at the earliest opportunity to prevent issues from escalating and ensure families receive the right support at the right time.

This role focuses on building positive relationships, undertaking assessments, coordinating support services, and helping families achieve sustainable change.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Early Help Assessments and plans.
  • Work directly with children, young people, and families to identify needs and strengths.
  • Coordinate multi-agency interventions and support packages.
  • Promote positive outcomes through preventative and family-led approaches.
  • Undertake safeguarding activity where concerns arise.
  • Work closely with schools, health professionals, and community services.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case recordings and reports.
