Social Worker – Children and Families Team

Pay Rate: £37.50 per hour
Hours: 37 per week

About the Role

Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Children and Families Team.
You will work with children and families across a varied caseload, undertaking assessments, safeguarding interventions, and long-term planning to improve outcomes and promote positive change.

This role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with families while working within a supportive multi-agency environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Child and Family Assessments under the Children Act.
  • Manage a caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care cases where required.
  • Develop and implement effective support and safeguarding plans.
  • Undertake direct work with children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with education, health, police, and partner agencies.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case recordings.
