Social Worker – Children and Families Team

Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Locum


About the Role

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Children and Families Team.
You will work with children and families across a varied caseload, providing high-quality assessments, safeguarding interventions, and long-term planning to improve outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Child and Family Assessments under the Children Act.
  • Manage a caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care cases where required.
  • Undertake Section 47 enquiries and safeguarding investigations.
  • Develop and implement effective care and support plans.
  • Undertake direct work with children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with health, education, police, and partner agencies.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case recordings.
