Achieving for Children is seeking a skilled and motivated Social Worker to join its Assessment Service, working with children and families at the front door of services. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake statutory assessments under Section 17 and Section 47 of the Children Act 1989
• Complete timely, high-quality assessments that identify risk, need, and protective factors
• Make clear, analytical recommendations to inform decision-making and next steps
• Work collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners to ensure robust safeguarding responses
• Prepare detailed assessments, reports, and records in line with statutory timescales
• Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and continuous professional development

Candidate Requirements

• Social Work qualification (BA / MA / DipSW)
• SWE registration
• Experience within Children’s Services, ideally in Assessment or Front Door teams
• Strong analytical, assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to high-quality, child-centred practice
