Role: Qualified Social Worker

Pay:  up to £34 per hour
Contract: Full-Time Locum
In the office: Hybrid

 

s an Adoption Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality and effective services to children, families and prospective adopters. You will have the opportunity to build positive relationships with those you work with and make a significant difference to their lives.

The successful candidate will have a Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England (SWE). You will also need a minimum of two years’ post-qualifying experience in adoption work, including a sound knowledge of adoption legislation.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing excellent social work services, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and is able to work independently but also as part of a team. You should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of children in care, the roles of other professionals and the impact of adoption on the child.

You should have knowledge of the current adoption practice and procedures, together with extensive experience of working with Local Authorities and other statutory agencies. You will need to be able to travel to the Midlands and have the ability to work flexibly and efficiently to meet deadlines.
