Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for your next challenge? Join our Special Guardianship Order (SGO) & Adoption Team in a central Midlands Local Authority and make a lasting difference in the lives of children, young people, and families.

 

The Role:

As a Locum Social Worker, you will hold a complex caseload and provide high-quality, practical support for children, young people, and families. You will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking thorough assessments
  • Conducting home visits and direct interventions
  • Reviewing the work and outcomes for children and families
  • Ensuring all work is evidence-based and aligned with best practices
  • Maintaining focus on the best interests of children and young people

You will work within a designated area of the Local Authority, which offers a variety of support services, including Initial Assessments, Children in Need Teams, Specialist Children’s Looked After Teams, and Adoption & Fostering Services.

 

Requirements:

  • SWE Registration is essential.
  • Previous experience in SGO, adoption, or children’s services.
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and assessment skills.
