Barnet Council is recruiting an experienced Adults Social Worker to join its Locality Adults Service on a locum basis. Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Care Act assessments, reviews, and support planning
- Manage a varied caseload of adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older people
- Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interests decisions
- Carry out safeguarding enquiries in line with Section 42 of the Care Act
- Work collaboratively with health professionals, families, and partner agencies
- Maintain high-quality case recording and documentation in line with statutory guidance
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience within Adults Social Care, including Care Act and safeguarding work
- Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication, assessment, and care planning skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced statutory environment
