About the Role
The London Borough of Richmond and Kingston is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our dedicated Assessment Team. This essential role involves conducting timely assessments and working directly with children and families to ensure their safety, well-being, and support needs are met. As part of our Assessment Team, you’ll be responsible for assessing potential risks, responding promptly to safeguarding concerns, and helping families to access the services and support they need.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out comprehensive assessments and make informed decisions regarding children’s safety and well-being.

Engage directly with children and families to gather information, provide support, and create tailored plans.

Collaborate closely with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding and family support.

Manage a caseload of varying complexity with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.

Keep accurate records and ensure all work complies with legal requirements and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

Experience in child protection, assessments, and case management.

Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
