Social Worker – Assessment & Intervention
Location: Barking & Dagenham
Salary: £41,442 – £47,532 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Extras: £2,500 retention payment + up to 31 days annual leave

What the role involves:
- Frontline assessments and Section 47 enquiries
- CIN, CP and emergency interventions
- Fast but thorough decision-making on new referrals
- Direct work with families and children at risk
- Liaising with schools, police, health and internal teams
- Case planning, court prep (where needed), and regular reviews
What they’re after:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Strong frontline experience — R&A or similar
- Confidence in managing risk, writing plans, and working with urgency
- Someone who has the urge to progress within this permanent role.
