Social Worker – Child in Need / Child Protection

Location: Enfield
Rate: £39.04 per hour
Contract: Locum, Full-Time (36 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP

Enfield are looking for a frontline Social Worker to join their CIN/CP team. This is a straightforward statutory role — child protection work done properly, with good systems and a clear structure.

Caseloads will be discussed at interview depending on your experience, but the team have been praised for being open, honest, and realistic about expectations.

The role will include:

• Carrying a mixed caseload across CIN and CP
• Completing assessments, S47s, and direct work with families
• Working closely with partner agencies to reduce risk and support change
• Preparing for and attending conferences, core groups and court (when needed)
• Recording work clearly and on time

What they’re after:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Previous frontline experience in CIN/CP work
• Someone who can balance empathy and accountability
• Experience with Mosaic is a bonus, but not essential
