Pay Rate: £35 per hour
Hours: 37 per week

About the Role

Derbyshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Child Protection Team.
You will work with children and families where safeguarding concerns have been identified, ensuring timely and effective interventions to protect children and improve outcomes.

This is a fast-paced but supportive environment where you will manage complex cases and work closely with multi-agency partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Section 47 enquiries and Child and Family Assessments.
  • Manage a caseload of Child Protection and Child in Need cases.
  • Develop and implement robust safety and care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies including health, education, and police.
  • Undertake direct work with children and families.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records.
