Social Worker – Children’s and Families First Team
Pay Rate: £38 per hour

About the Role
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Children’s and Families First Team.
This role focuses on early intervention and prevention, working with children and families to provide support at the earliest opportunity and reduce escalation into statutory services.
You will work closely with families and partner agencies to deliver timely, strengths-based interventions that improve outcomes and promote stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Child and Family Assessments.
- Work with families at the early help and Child in Need level.
- Develop and implement support plans to prevent escalation.
- Work collaboratively with schools, health services, and community organisations.
- Undertake direct work with children and families.
- Provide timely and accurate case recording.
- Contribute to multi-agency meetings and planning processes.
