Social Worker – Children in Care Team - Blackburn with Darwen Council
Location: Blackburn
Pay/Salary: up to £39 per hour
Office Working: 3 Days per week
Contract: Locum
We are currently working with Blackburn with Darwen to find an experienced Social Worker for their Children in Care Team within Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Blackburn are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their services. Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services who were graded ‘good’ in its full ILACS Ofsted inspection. This post is mainly around care proceedings and court work, rather than long-term work with families.
Duties
- Undertake statutory visits, and assessments as a Corporate Parent
- Undertake Section 7and 37 reports, as well as attending Court, and providing analysis and evidence-based recommendations
- Attending conferences, such as CIC reviews
What you need
- Social Work Qualification
- Social Work England registration
- Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
